Luxury holiday cottages in the pretty waterside village
of Flushing near Falmouth, Cornwall.
Our favourite pub now under exciting new management, The Seven Stars is a traditional pub just a few steps from The Green House and The Blue House fronting the quayside with lovely waterside views out towards Falmouth Harbour.
Busy throughout the year, The Seven Stars is mainly inhabited by locals and fishermen who appreciate the cask conditioned ales and traditional pub food. Busy in the evenings, the views of the River Fal cannot be beaten.
Watch out for Pie nights, Fish and Chips nights, and the excellent Pizza nights.
The Royal Standard is located just a few steps from The Blue House. It is a traditional pub recently refurbished in contemporary style with stripped floorboards, oak bar, open fire and individual wooden tables and chairs. With a decked front seating area, a beer garden to the rear and excellent water views, the Royal Standard is a perfect location for all ages.
The pub offers a range of fine wines, cask conditioned ales, fresh coffee and pure fruit juice to complement the expertly prepared menu which makes use of only the freshest of ingredients. Booking essential in Summer.
The Waterside is a welcome new addition to the Flushing restaurant scene, situated on the quay with spectacular views across the bay towards Falmouth. Come and enjoy fresh local fish and shellfish accompanied by fine wine.
Paul and John aim to support local businesses and fisheries, presenting their customers with freshly landed fish and local produce… simply prepared and presented to you with the experience of courteous staff at an affordable price. The menus change daily according to the availability of the catch, keeping our prices to a minimum in these times of austerity. Dogs welcome.
Plenty of options adorn the large chalkboard at Castaways, situated in Mylor Yacht Harbour a short walk from The Blue House.
The specials are changed twice daily reflecting the local catch. There is of course lots of seafood on offer yet meat eaters will not be disappointed with their lot. Baguettes and home made soup are popular lunch time as well as Cornish Dairy Ice Cream.
In the evening's it gets moodier and cosier. Strong local sourcing ensures the best Cornish food is always on the menu.
A trip to the Pandora, which is set in the beautiful surroundings of the Restronguet Creek, is a step back in time.
It really is a magical location, often visited by passing boaters who moor up alongside the expansive jetty.
Wherever you choose to dine, inside, outside, or in the Upper Deck restaurant, you can be assured of the excellent standard of their cuisine and to complete the experience they have an enviable choice of fine wines and several speciality beers.
Another favourite of ours! Ideally placed in the Square in Falmouth, Harvey's Wharf serves exquisite drinks and mouth wateringly good food, all cooked to order using local produce. Even better, Harvey's Wharf enjoys the most stunning views over Falmouth's beautiful Marina, allowing guests to enjoy their fabulous food and drinks to the sounds and smells of the gently lapping sea.
Drop in for breakfast; brunch, lunch or dinner, the menu is always amazing, chock full of fresh fish and delicious, sumptuous platters, made from the finest sourced ingredients.
