Luxury holiday cottages in the pretty waterside village
of Flushing near Falmouth, Cornwall.
Unfortunately many Cornish holiday cottages fail to impress. They are furnished with charity shop furniture, they have antiquated heating and hot water systems, delapidated bathrooms and kitchens, and are lacking in modern appliances. The Blue House has been completely refurbished for 2011 to a 5 Star standard. We set out to create something
special, a real luxury home from home with everything you could wish for to make your holiday very special.
Enter through the front door into a hall with slate flooring. The open plan lounge / diner is equipped with
leather sofas, flat-screen LCD TV with SKY Plus, DVD Player, Playstation 3 and wood-burning stove.
The modern spacious kitchen has been fully fitted with all appliances including dishwasher and washing machine.
It boasts granite worktops, quality cabinets and a slate floor.
To the rear of the kitchen is a cosy courtyard. This is a real sun trap and has a Mediterranean feel,
with bamboo screening, outdoor lighting and a table and chairs for al fresco dining.
Upstairs, the luxury bathroom has a slate floor, deep bath, and WC.
Quality towels and soaps are provided.
Bedroom one is a comfortable king-sized double room looking out to the front of the property with
distant water views, whilst the second bedroom with twin beds looks onto the garden at the rear.
The top floor has a spectacular new loft bedroom with twin beds and a separate en-suite shower room.
Quality bedding is provided.
For those with young children there is a cot and high chair at the cottage. The complimentary use of high-speed wireless broadband iscluded. There is also a comprehensive book and DVD library for guests.
Unlike many waterside Cornish towns, Flushing remains something of a secret to the majority of tourists -
the village is much quieter in holiday season than towns such as Mevagissey, St Ives and Padstow.
For this reason parking in Flushing is generally not an issue, with plenty of spaces in the immediate
vicinity and a small car park at the end of the street.
